Illinois-educated YouTube founder reinvests in home state

Steve Chen, one of the co-founders of YouTube is helping make sure that Illinois stays at the forefront of education and technology by investing $1 million in the Illinois Math and Science Academy in Aurora.

Chen graduated from the elite, competitive public high school that is open to every student in the state. In an effort to stay on the cutting edge of both education and technology, IMSA is building a new innovation center that will help students and members of the community take high-tech concepts and turn them into viable business models.

The innovation center will be stocked with the latest technology, including 3D printers and conferencing technology.
